Format of the configuration file
The IP telephone loads the configuration file from the DHCP server during the login process
(→ p. 47). It contains information about which software file (application) is to be loaded from
the FTP server. The configuration file is an ASCII file and can be created with any text edi-
tor.
The configuration file assigns a software image (applications) in each case to buttons 0 to 9
as a list and also to the DEFAULT entry.
The configuration file is formatted as follows:
•
It always begins flush left with 0: (mnemonics for 0 key).
•
It contains all mnemonics left–aligned, even if no specific entry follows.
•
If there is a specific entry after the mnemonic, the file size is shown left–aligned in bytes
in the next line.
•
The last entry left–aligned is always the "DEFAULT:" line followed with the appropriate
file name and the subsequent file size on the next line.
•
A specific entry always begins with one and only one <space> after the mnemonic or
after the "DEFAULT:" code.
•
The configuration file can contain a maximum of 1024 bytes.
•
The entries with the file names always begin with T, consist of 8 characters, a period, and
then another 3 characters.
