Service operation
(c) A restart is now carried out on the basis of this software.
Note:
If the software detects at start–up a difference between its actual software designa-
tion and the "DEFAULT" line of the configuration file saved in the flash memory at
start–up, it will enter the correct designation in the "DEFAULT" line in the flash
memory.
The IP telephone comes supplied with the H.323 application already in the flash
memory.
(d) The IP telephone looks for a gatekeeper and logs in and authenticates itself there. The
gatekeeper is responsible for the access authorization. If a gatekeeper is not automatically
found, logging in manually is possible (→ p. 59).
Outgoing calls can now be made.
(e) Enter the call number and PIN for the user in the "User administration" menu or by acti-
vating the "Log in new user" menu item in the idle display (→ p. 64).
The IP telephone can now also receive calls.
2. Commissioning without DHCP in the local network
Commissioning begins at step (b) of the procedure described in section 1.
The IP telephone uses all of the settings which were last saved. The IP address cannot be
renewed during the phone's contract period.
