Changing the network settings

If no DHCP is activated, any network settings relevant to operation must be made via the
web terminal (→ p. 94) or via the audit menu.
Opening the audit menu (→ p. 124).
Scroll to the menu item Network settings .
Confirm selection.
Now you can enter the following information:
IP address (if the telephone does not have a valid IP address, the following will appear
in the IP adr line "___.___.___.___"). A number between 0 and 255 can be input at any
position separated by periods. Remember that some IP addresses are not acceptable,
such as 0.0.0.0 or 255.255.255.255, for example. Please ask your network administrator
about this.
Subnetwork mask (this tells the telephone which network class it belongs to).
Default gateway (this is needed to access other networks).
Default gatekeeper (if you enter an IP address here, the IP telephone will try to log di-
rectly into this gatekeeper during the commissioning procedure).
Alternative gatekeepers 1 and 2 (if you enter an IP address here, the IP telephone will try
to log into these gatekeepers if it can't find the default gatekeeper (or this fails). The tele-
phone searches for the default GK, then for Alt GK1 and Alt GK2 in a continuous loop
lasting about 120 seconds in each case. Should the default gatekeeper or one of the
alternative gatekeepers fail, the first search for the default gatekeeper will only last 30
seconds).
