Secure communication in C–package step II.1 and higher
With software C package Step II.1 a difference is made between secure communication and
non–secure communication. In case of secure communication, all the authentification, call
signalling and Media data between the T3 IP telephones and other network components are
sent in encrypted form.
Prerequisites for the use of secure communication are:
•
T3 IP telephones with a Hardware Level II
•
Integral 55 with a IEE3 software
•
Activation of the secure communication on the participating VoIP boards.
In case of older T3 IP telephones or older system software secure communication is not
possible.

Secure users
In the VoIP boards settings a distinction is made between secure and normal users (call
numbers). A secure user only can use secure communication! So he cannot use tele-
phones with older hardware.
A normal user can use secure communication as well as non–secure communication.
