2 Service operation

Barring / enabling user administration:
Enables the function "HTTP server" in the barred features list (audit menu) and the func-
tion "web terminal" in the menu option "Security" – available as of software package
T223_0DE B.
•
Bar/Enable user mobility
Enables the function "HTTP server" in the barred features list (audit menu) – available
from software T223_0DE. User mobility must be configured after this enabling procedure.

Barring / enabling the CTI interface
This temporarily enables the telephone's CTI interface. Application: TCM, Com4Tel.
Note: Once the interface has been enabled, the telephone can be accessed by any PC.
This cancels barring of the MAC address. The V24 driver is set to TAPI. When work with
the interface is completed, barring should be restored for security reasons. MAC barring
is restored and the V24 driver set to NONE. The CTI interface is always barred automati-
cally after a reset.

Software update
This automatically updates the telephone software. The tool requests the address of the
FTP server and the access data. Once the telephone has obtained the update trigger, the
software is loaded after a short delay. Once the FTP server parameters have been en-
tered, a list of the configuration files found on the FTP server is displayed.

User–confirmed software update
This updates the IP telephone software manually. The tool requests the address of the
FTP server and the access data. Once the telephone has obtained the update trigger, a
"New Software Available" line appears in the idle display.
