Please note: Option 5 can only be used with bootstrap B00.05 (hardware Level II) and
Image T205_xxx.a3i (Comfort) or T205_xxx.b3i (Classic) (B package software for hardware
Level II) and later versions.
Using an older bootstrap or image on the DHCP server when Option 5 (and higher) is acti-
vated will prevent your IP telephone from starting up correctly!
Support of Option 5 (and above) for hardware Level II is not provided for at present and re-
quires creation of a new bootstrap (version > U00.18).
Here, too, (hardware Level I) the use of Option 5 (and above) on the DHCP server will pre-
vent proper commissioning of the IP telephone unless a bootstrap version > U00.18 is
installed (despite the B package software).
Possible byte stream when Options 1 and 2 are set: 0x1 0x3 0x4 0x81 0x7 0x2 0x4 0xc0
0x1 0x2 0x6e
Note: As soon as you use one of the options, Option 1 must always be used as well and be
set to the predefined value otherwise the IP telephone will not accept the DHCPOFFER
message of the DHCP server!!!
Option 43 must be set manually in the case of the Windows NT DHCP server. With the Win-
dows 2000 DHCP server, these options can be defined using the corresponding menus (→
p. 142).
3. Renewal T1 time option (Code = 58)
4. Rebinding T2 time value option (Code = 59)
