2 Service operation
Note:
•
The DHCP can be switched on and off using the WebTerminal under Bootline, in the
"Use DHCP server" audit menu or after the start of the booting procedure (→ p. 55)
•
If the IP telephone uses the default IP address (192.168.0.1), be sure to change this
manually after the first commissioning (web terminal → p. 68 or in the audit menu
under "Network settings") as otherwise there could be several IP telephones in the
network with the same IP address. Please ask your network administrator about this.
3. Commissioning with / without DHCP and with FTP server in the local network
Step (a) of the procedure described in section 1 is carried out provided the DHCP has been
activated. The subsequent procedure is as follows:
(b) Since a software update was forced, the IP telephone sets up a connection to the FTP
server and loads the configuration file. The FTP settings currently held in the flash memory
and the configuration file name are used. If the format of the configuration file (→ p. 59) is
correct, it will be saved in the flash memory.
