Service operation

the name of the configuration file on the FTP server. This file contains information
about which software file (application) is to be loaded from the FTP server (the con-
ventional designation for this file → p. 71).
These settings are saved in the flash memory.
Note:

The IP telephone is supplied with the following default settings:

Settings 4, 5 and 6 can only be changed via the web terminal.

Mandatory specifics from the DHCP server are: IP address and subnet mask. If other
specifics are missing, the IP telephone will use the values that were last saved.

If the DHCP server does not answer after a time–out of 65 seconds, the IP telephone
commissioning will continue but the IP telephone will not then have a valid IP address
and will not work. The appropriate information appears on the IP telephone display.

The DHCP server can also send the vendor–specific Information (option 43) (Setup
→ p. 149). If there are differences from the specified definitions, the information offered
by the IP telephone will not be accepted. The IP telephone will not then have a valid
IP address.
