General Care and Troubleshooting
Clearing Jams in the Horizontal Transport to the Finisher
The device displays the status code 10-200-00
The message on the device touch screen reads: Jam in Horizontal Transport. Raise Horizontal
Transport Cover.
This finisher and some of its' components are optional and may not be fitted to your device.
If you are unable to resolve the problem, contact the Xerox Support Center.
1. Open the finisher transport cover. This is located underneath the touch screen.
2. Remove any jammed pages.
Note:
Make sure you check for pages jammed at the left end of the transport, they can be
difficult to spot as only a small amount of the page will be visible.
3. If a page has jammed at the right end of the transport very slowly and gently pull it to the left
until it is released from the device.
Note:
If the page tore while it was being removed, re-assemble the sheet and any pieces to
confirm that nothing has been left in the device.
WARNING: Do not attempt to undock the finisher to get better access to the jam from the
right side of the device. The finisher is balanced as part of the device and may fall over if un-
docked.
4. Lower the finisher transport cover and press gently until it clicks into place.
Note:
If your job keeps jamming in the horizontal transport area check that the pages aren't
being prevented from leaving the transport by a jam in the finisher unit.
