Internet Services
Use the Address Book tab to create and manage the Device Address Book. You can add E-mail, Fax,
Internet Fax and Scan To Destination addresses to the Device Address Book. You can then access
these address when you use the E-mail, Fax, Internet Fax and Scan To services at the device.
Note:
This option must be made available by your System Administrator.
Use the Favorites option to save an address as a favorite. Favorites are useful if you regularly send
information to the same address.
Refer to the System Administrator Guide for further information.
1. At your computer, open your web browser.
2. In the URL field, use your keyboard to enter http:// followed by the IP Address of the device. For
example: If the IP Address is 192.168.100.100, enter http://192.168.100.100.
Note:
To find out the IP Address of your device, print a configuration report or ask your System
Administrator.
3. Press the Enter button on your keyboard to load the page.
4. Click the Address Book tab.
5. Click the Add button.
6. Select the Display Name entry box and use your keyboard to enter a name to identify your
address. The Display Name will appear when you select the Address Book at the device.
7. If required, select the Global Favorite button to make the address available in the Favorites list
when you use the E-mail, Fax, Internet Fax or Scan To services at the device.
8. In the Scan To Destination area, select the Add Destination button.
9. Click in the Nickname entry box and use your keyboard to enter a name for your Scan To
destination. The Nickname displays in the Address Book or Favourites area within the Scan To
screen on the device control panel.
10. Select the Scan To Favorite button if you want this address to be available in the Favorites list
when you use Scan To service at the device. If you have selected this address as a Global
Favorite it is already available as a Scan To favorite.
11. Select the Protocol you want to use to scan your documents. The protocol depends on the
location of your scan destination.
FTP scans to a computer using File Transfer Protocol. Select this option if you have an FTP
application on your computer.
SFTP scans to a computer using Secure File Transfer Protocol. Select this option if you have
an SFTP application running on your computer.
Netware scans to a computer using the Netware protocol. Select this option if you are
using Netware.
SMB scans to a computer using Server Message Block protocol. Select this option to scan
to a Windows computer.
12. Select the required Address Type and enter the host name or address of your scan destination.
13. If you selected SMB for the Protocol, click the Share entry box and use your keyboard to enter
the name of the shared folder.
14. Click the Document Path entry box and use your keyboard to enter your scan destination.
15. Click in the Login Name entry box and use your keyboard to enter the user name required to
access your scan destination.
Click Password and enter the password required to access your scan destination. Enter the
password again the password in Retype Password.
Click Select to save new password to save the password and user name.
