Is the size of the cassette indicated on the
message display?

Is the movement of the open button on the
cassette normal?

Push down the pickup roller releasing
lever with your finger. Does the pickup
roller move down?

Is the voltage of the following connectors
on the DC controller PCB about 5 V when
the cassette is slid in?
cassette 3 (PS40): J515-B5
cassette 4 (PS45): J517-B5

Turn on the main power switch and the
control panel power switch. Set the meter
to the 30 VDC range, and connect the -
probe to ground and the + probe to the
following jacks. Does the voltage change
from about 0 to 24 V when the cassette is
slid in?
cassette 3 (M16): J516-A4
cassette 4 (M17): J516-B1
