To configure your system, you will need to have at hand certain information, such
as IP addresses.
You may want to print this list and check off each item after you complete it.

Customer Release Notes and the Pillar Data Systems
Check the
Support Portal to see if any software updates are available. For
instructions on installing software updates, refer to the
Pillar Axiom Administrator's Guide .

Get the management network IP address of the Pilot (the default is
10.0.0.2) and the user ID and password from the
Survey or from Pillar Data Systems.
Get access to the Pillar Axiom Storage Services Manager, the
command line interface (CLI), and the Pillar Axiom Path Manager.
Get the IP address of your primary NTP server for synchronizing system
time.
Get the operating mode of the management Ethernet: auto-negotiation,
or manual speed and duplex.
Get three IP addresses that you can assign to the public interface of the
Pilot.
