6. Refer to the previous figure and loosen, but do not remove, the other
bracket screw (near the end of the flash lamp).
7. Shift the bracket outward slightly, then remove the preheat lamp.
CAUTION
The lamps are fragile. Take care when handling.
Never touch lamps with your hands. Always use a dry tissue or wipe (be
sure lamps are cool). Any contamination of the lamp glass will cause a
hot spot, and the lamp may fail prematurely due to the glass melting or
breaking. This is also true for the cover glass.
8. Carefully flex the bracket slightly, and remove the flash lamp. There is a
bushing on each end of the flash lamp. When you remove the lamp, be
careful not to lose the bushings.
Temperature fuse
1. Remove the screw securing the fuse holder to the fuser box.
2. Remove the screw securing the fuse holder cover.

3. Remove the fuse holder cover. Remove the screws (2) securing the
temperature fuse.
