4. Remove the screws (2 for the preheat lamp, 3 for the flash lamp) securing
the lamp terminals.
NOTE: The preheat (halogen) lamp is the thinner of the two lamps and has
only two wire leads. The flash (xenon) lamp is the thicker of the two
lamps and has three wire leads.

5. Refer to the figure below. Working at the rear end of the fuser unit,
observe the lamp bracket at that end of the fuser unit. This bracket is
secured with two screws, one near the end of the preheat lamp, and the
other near the end of the flash lamp. Remove only the screw closest to
the preheat lamp end of the bracket.
