2. Remove the screw securing the sensor to the paper guide.

Gates

The paper output section has two stages of gates: the paper exit gate and the
face gate. Each of these gates is mechanically linked to a controlling solenoid.
The two solenoids are the paper exit gate solenoid (EGSL) and the face gate
solenoid (FGSL). Both solenoids are located on the rear side of the printer.
To remove either of the gates:
1. Remove the screw securing the solenoid for the gate you want to remove.
2. Remove the E-rings (2) attached to each end of the gate shaft (one at the
front panel and one at the rear panel).
