1. Open the fuser cover by pulling it toward the back of the
printer (fig. 11.17).

The fuser becomes very hot during operation. Do not
touch any area with a high-temperature warning label
(fig. 11.16) without first turning off the printer and
allowing it to cool for at least 40 minutes.
