Electrophotography (EP2, Humidity Control)
The PAPER:EP2 menu allows you to make adjustments for changes
in humidity during printing, thereby reducing ghosting. Humidity
can affect toning on plates and the density on negatives.
Options are 0 to 10. The default depends on the selected media; the
defaults are 5 for paper and heavy paper, and 3 for film and heavy
film.
Note: This setting will affect the density of your halftones, so you
may need to relinearize if you change the EP2 setting.

Fuser Temperature Control

The PAPER:FUSER menu allows you to control your printer's fuser
temperature for different media types.
Select Cool, the factory default, when printing to Myriad film, paper,
envelopes, labels, and transparencies. Select Warm for heavy paper
and heavy film.

Media Weight

Media Weight allows you to designate the type of media used and to
access correct temperatures for that media. Set Media Weight from
your application Print dialog box. Options are Paper, Hvypaper
(heavy paper), Film, Hvyfilm (heavy film), and five user defined
media weights.
Note: You can create custom gamma curves to calibrate or adjust
your printer for specific media weights. For details see "Dot
Gain Calibration (Gamma)" earlier in this chapter and see
"Calibration with a Densitometer (Gamma)" in chapter 3
(Macintosh) or 4 (PC).

Mirror Print

Mirror Print allows you to produce a mirror image which is reversed
left to right (fig. 6.11). This type of image is used to produce right
reading documents required for imaging silk screens or metal plates.
