Notations Used to Describe Messages

Following are the notations used to describe messages in this manual, and the message format.
Messages are listed in the order of message IDs.

Information returned by the message. If the output destination is MSG, the value is set to the Severity in the message
structure. For details about the message structure, see the HP P9000 for Business Continuity Manager Software Reference
Guide.

A return code which is set when the message is output. The return code of a command contains the largest value of all
return codes of messages output while the command was processing.

Details identifying specific items such as error locations, or copy pair numbers. If the output destination is MSG, the value
is set to the Value in the message structure.

A character string enclosed in square brackets ([ ]) might be omitted.
