Configuring a GPI Setting

Click the GPIO Configuration hyperlink to start configuring the GPI/O
(Figure
102).

The GPIO settings page will then appear.
There are four possible types or options for a GPI setting, Disabled, Non-
Latching, Latching, and Sequence (or Salvo). The difference between a
Non-Latching GPI and a Latching GPI is that when a Latching GPI is trig-
gered, the Source that is taken will remain when the GPI is no longer trig-
gered. However, when a Non-Latching GPI is triggered, the Source that is
taken will return to the previous Source when the GPI is no longer trig-
gered. The following instructions will show how to configure a Latching
GPI, although the steps for the other options are similar.
To configure Latching GPI setting:
1. Click the Numbered box for the GPI that you want to modify. The
screen will change so that a drop-down list will appear in the Type
column.
2. Select the "Latching" option, see
