Console Commands
B.1 Console Command Syntax
•
The console program accepts commands up to 80 characters long.
Longer commands result in an error message. The character count
does not include rubouts, rubbed-out characters, or the terminating
IReturnl.
•
Type-ahead is not supported. Characters received before the console
prompt >>> appears on the screen are discarded. Only the following
control sequences received before the console prom..£!.2>>> appears
on the screen are recognized: lctril
~.
lctril
[Q],
and
19!:!1@).
•
Commands can be abbreviated by typing the first character in
the
command name. All commands are recognized by their first character.
For example, B stands for the BOOT command and T stands for the
TEST command.
•
The console program treats multiple adjacent spaces and tabs as a
single space. Leading and trailing spaces and tabs are ignored.
•
Command qualifiers can appear after the command keyword or after
any symbol or number in the command.
•
AU numbers (addresses, data, and counts) are hexadecimal except for
symbolic register names which are decimal.
•
The console program accepts uppercase and lowercase letters.
