Controls used for Measurement Control on the 2032
Pressing INPUT AUTORANGE causes the 2032 to select independent-
ly the optimum maximum peak input voltage both for channel A and
channel B such that peak signal input levels in both channels are
about 3 to 6 dB below overload. The autoranging process is indicated
by an L.E.D. which goes out when the process is complete.
Input autorange can take place when the 2032 is in Stop, or when it
is Recording, or when it is Recording and Averaging. On completion
of the autorange, RECORD "Cont." will be automatically selected.
Any data recorded while input autorange is in progress is excluded
from a measurement.
An input autorange causes the MEASUREMENT SETUP to become a
WORKING SETUP, Wn.
An input autorange can be manually aborted by pressing INPUT AU-
TORANGE a second time.
An input autorange also causes an automatic internal DC offset com-
pensation to be made.
Input autorange can be used on both continuous and transient sig-
nals.
Pressing INPUT AUT ORANGE while the 2032 is in Record/ Average
causes Averaging to be stopped.
"Start" -
starts an average, first clearing the averager accumulator
of any previous results .
If the 2032 is in Record mode, recording is also restarted and the
first complete record entered into the average.
If the 2032 averager is in Manual Accept mode, the averager accumu-
lator is cleared and the instantaneous function(s) present in the 2032
at the time of pressing "Start" is entered into the average.
"Proceed" -
continues an averaging process without clearing the
averager accumulator. "Proceed" can be used to continue an incom-

plete average previously stopped using AVERAGING CONTROL
