input buffer, MEMORY "Enable" should be off, (that is, MEMORY "Enable" L.E.D.
off), and for read-in to the store buffer, MEMORY "Enable" should be on, (L.E.D.
on).

Press DIGITAL 1/0 "Input" on the 2032, and set the 7400 up to read out recorded
data. Refer to the 7400 Instruction Manual for details.

The recorded data can either be read to the 2032 on a file by file basis or contin-
ously. In the latter mode, the 2032 Display will be continuously updated according
to the contents of the file being read. This provides a convenient means of check-
ing the contents of a cassette. On completion of the read-out, DIGITAL 1/0 "Stop"
may be selected on the 2032.
8.2.3. Recording of a Plot file on the 7400
The 7400 can be used to record a "Plot" file from the 2032, by following the instruc-
tions of Section 8.2.1 and pressing DIGITAL 1/0 "Plot" instead of DIGITAL 1/0 "Out-
put". The Plot file can later' be read to a Graphics Recorder Type 2313. Note, however,
that a Plot file cannot be re-input into a 2032.
8.2.4. Other Recording Formats on the 7400
On switch on, the 2032 always resets to its default condition for Digital Output under
manual control, which is output of a "Total Documentation" file, that is output of all
basic data plus the MEASUREMENT and DISPLAY SETUP, the CURSOR SETUP, and
the Text-string. However, Special Parameter field 80 can be used to modify Digital
Output to the 7400 to cover other formats. These include abbreviated formats where,
for instance, only the MEASUREMENT or DISPLAY SETUP is recorded. The Special
Parameter field also allows all of the user-defined MEASUREMENT and DISPLAY SET-
UPS to be recorded on cassette for later re-entry to the 2032. This enables multiple
sets of user-defined MEASUREMENT and DISPLAY SETUPs to be recorded and stored
such that they can be conveniently recreated as required. See Section 12. 7.1 for de-
tails.
