DIGITAL 1/0 UNDER MANUAL CONTROL FROM THE
2032
Digital input and output to and from the 2032 can be manually controlled via the DIGI-
TAL 1/0 push keys on the 2032 front panel. Digital 1/0 under manual control is of
principle interest when the 2032 is connected to either (or both) of two instruments, the
Graphics Recorder Type 2313, and the Digital Cassette Recorder Type 7400.

The 2313 can be used to produce hard copies of the 2032 Display in less than 10
seconds each. The copies produced are complete with alphanumerics, that is they are
totally documented. Such hard copies can be produced with any of the 2313's Applica-
tion Packages in place. The procedure is as follows:

Connect the INTERFACE Bus (IEC) connectors of the 2032 and the 2313 together
using Bruel
&
Kjcer cable AO 0194.

Check that the 2313 is switched to its "System Controller not Active" mode, that is
Bit 8 of the 2313 rear panel ADDRESS SWITCH is set to "0".

Press RESET on the 2313, followed by ENTER/EXECUTE, and check that the 2313
is in
"Listen"
mode, that is the "Listen" L.E.D. is on. Check also the 2032 Interface
Terminator, (set via the Universal Parameter Selector fields, see Section 12.3.8), is
set to 3 or 1 0.

A hard copy of the 2032 Display will now be obtained each time DIGITAL 1/0 "Plot"
is selected. On completion of the hard copy, DIGITAL 1/0 "Stop" will be automati-
cally selected.
8.1.2. Use of the 2032 with the 2313 and Applications Packages BZ 7000 and 7006
Applications Package BZ 7000 is a special low-cost package allowing hard copies of
the 2032 Display to be made on the 2313. Applications Package BZ 7006 can be used
to extend the capabilities of the 2032/2313 combination. For details of the use of this
Application Package, refer to the separate documentation describing BZ 7006 which
will be available in the future.
