12.2. FIELD ENTRY INTO UNIVERSAL PARAMETER FIELDS
Field entry into Universal Parameter fields is as described in Section 3.3.2, and any
field which can be accessed can be set. However, it is also possible to read into
certain fields in an octal format. These fields are:
Special Parameter Value
Main Memory Address
Main Memory Value
Scratch Pad Memory Address
Scratch Pad Memory Value
Continuous Memory Address
Continuous Memory Value
Entry in octal or decimal format is independent of whether an octal or decimal number
is already standing in the field. Read-in in octal format is achieved by pressing the
upper right-hand (blank) pushkey of the numeric Keyboard instead of "ENT":

The numbers 8, 9 and the symbols ., -, E,

m and k cannot be used for octal format
entry, and if they are present in the echo field at entry of an octal number, the field
