The X-scaling control fields of the 2032
Calibration of the X-axis of a trace displayed on the 2032 Display is defined by the X-
scaling control fields, (Fig.6.1 ), of the relevant DISPLAY SETUP. These will indicate the
start value and the time or frequency span of the displayed trace or portion of the
trace. Check marks are generated along the axis as a visual aid, and Cursor read-outs
are in the same units as are defined in the X-scaling fields. Additional read-outs of X in
user defined engineering units are available via the Flexible Cursor.
6.1.1. Location of Check Marks on the X-axis
96
The intervals between check marks on the X-axis are fixed according to the displayed
time or frequency span, as defined in the X-scaling fields for the trace. These intervals
are given in Table 6.1, (time domain displays), and Table 6.2, (frequency domain dis-
plays). The locations of the check marks will always be at integer multiples of the
corresponding intervals, to the nearest element number. For instance, display of a
50 Hz frequency span starting at 47,4375 Hz would exhibit check marks along the X-
axis at 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90Hz.
