Coaxial input to the 2033 via BNC connector. Input impedance 1 MQ
in parallel with 1 00 pF. Accepts standard Bri.iel & Kjrer plug part num-
ber JP 0035. Maximum input voltage 200 V RMS. Maximum measur-
able input voltage, 100 V peak. However, for safe operation in accor-
dance with IEC 348, the input current of signals with voltage exceed-
ing 42 V RMS (sine) should be limited to 0,7 rnA peak.
BNC connector for output of the 2032 sampling frequency or, when
the 2032 is set to external sampling, input of the external sampling
frequency. In external sampling, the maximum frequency span in
baseband mode becomes 0 Hz to
1f2,56
times the frequency of the
ex.
t ernally applied signal. All other frequency spans both in zoom and
baseband mode become related to the maximum span by a binary
sequence. Maximum external sampling frequency, 67kHz
..
Input/Out-
put TTL compatible
BNC connector for input of an external trigger signal when external
triggering has been selected. Input TTL compatible. Minimum pulse
width 10
J.LS,
minimum pulse amplitude
<
0,5 V, maximum input volt-
age 20 V. The trigger level is adjustable, see Section 9.12, and is
factory preset on delivery of the 2032 to 1 V. Input AC coupled.
BNC connector for the output of signals from the 2032 built-in gener-
ator. Output impedance 50
n.
The available output signals are:
Impulse -
a
+
5 V rectangular pulse one sampling period long re-
peated every 2048 samples.
Variable Sine -
a 5 V RMS sine wave at a frequency entered via the
2032 Universal Parameter Selector Fields, see Section 5.5.5 and
Chapter 11.
Random Noise -
random noise signal bandlimited to match the se-
lected frequency span. Power spectrum flat within ± 2 dB in the se-
lected span. Output level, 90 dBJ.LV
v;s:F,
RMS.
Pseudo-ran~om
Noise -
pseudo-random noise signal with spectral
line spacing matching the line spacing
~
F for the selected frequency
span. The noise signal is bandlimited to match the selected frequency
span. Power spectrum flat within ± 2 dB in the selected span.
Output level 90 dBJ.LV
{iS:F,
RMS.
Reference Sine -
a 5 V RMS sine wave at a frequency equal to the
centre of the selected frequency span.
Potentiometer for attenuating the amplitude of the signal generator
by up to 20 dB from the "Cal." position.
