Select the desired writing speed by pressing one, (and only one), of the right hand
row of switches. The writing speed selected by the various switch pairs is given in
Table 7.1. The writing speed selected by switch pair 3 is recommended for the X-Y
Recorder Type 2308.

Return card ZD 0269 to the 2032, and the 2032 protective panels. The 2032 should
not be reconnected to the mains voltage supply until all circuit cards and protec-
tive panels are in place.

7.2. USE OF THE 2032 VIDEO OUTPUT

The VIDEO OUTPUT of the
.
2032 is intended primarily for use with video plotters, to
obtain a hard copy of the 2032 Display. The screen image is output via the VIDEO
OUTPUT socket on the rear panel of the 2032, and follows the European CCIR Stan-
dard for 625 lines interlaced video, (that is as PAL, but in black and white). It consists
of 312 lines non-interlaced, 50 fields per second, 1 V peak to peak, into 75
n.
Should a video monitor be connected to the 2032 VIDEO OUTPUT, the monitor must be
able to accept a video signal of 25 pictures/second, 625 lines (CCIR or PAL system),
and it must be underscanned such that the whole picture from the 2032 can be dis-
played.
