On completion of a successful digital self-test, the 2032 may be returned to normal
operation by pressing SYSTEM RESET. The reset will be equivalent to SYSTEM
RESET 2, leaving the MEASUREMENT, DISPLAY and CURSOR SETUPS as they
were before self-test was commanded. Alternatively, an analog self-test can be
requested.
11.2. ANALOG SELF-TEST ON THE 2032
An analog self-test can be requested once a digital self-test has been completed. The
procedure is as follows:
1.
Set the SIGNAL GENERATOR AMPLITUDE potentiometer to its "Cal" position.
2.
Connect the SIGNAL GENERATOR output to the DIRECT INPUTS for Ch.A and
Ch.B, and press RECORD "Cont.".
3.
The analog self-test will now proceed. On completion of a successful analog self-
test, the 2032 Display will apear similarly to Fig.11.2 with the messages. GAIN
MATCH: VERIFIED and PHASE MATCH: VERIFIED on the screen. Should the 2032
Display indicate that the analog self-test has failed, refer to the 2032 Service In-
struction Manual for details.
4.
On completion of a successful analog self-test, the 2032 is returned to normal
operation by pressing SYSTEM RESET. This will leave MEASUREMENT SETUP 22
and DISPLAY SETUPS 22 and 23 on the 2032 Display, these being the setups used
for analog self-test.
