Overlapping (concurrent) execution of confirmed services is prohibited
A confirmed service consists of transmission of a request and receipt of a reply. Overlap-
ping execution of confirmed services is prohibited. Once a service request has been
transmitted, the reply must first be received before a further request can be sent.

This protocol implements the transmission of diagnostics as an unconfirmed service.
