6.2 Current Controller Teach-in

NOTICE
!
Brief movements in the valve possible
The teach-in function can lead to brief movements in the valve. Take any necessary
safety measures against accidental movements of the application.
The following describes how to use the teach-in function for current controllers via
CODESYS and e!COCKPIT.
When the function is used via WAGO-I/O-CHECK, the configuration is performed auto-
matically.
Starting the Teach-in Function
ü The output stage is switched off (PWR_EN = 0).
In the Vx_CTR application control byte, set bits Vx_CTRL.TEACH_EN and
Vx_CTRL.PWR_EN both to "1."
Alternatively:
Set the TEACH_EN bit before the PWR_EN bit.
ð The LEDs for the channel status and the teach-in function of the corresponding chan-
nel light up; see section
ð In the Vx_STATUS application status byte, the TEACH_ST bit is set to 1. The chan-
nel in question no longer responds to the JOG bits and the SPL_EN bit, and the infor-
mation is ignored by the I/O module. The same applies to the target current value.
ð A mailbox diagnostic message is not sent.
Status of the Teach-in Function
Check whether the Vx_STATUS.READY and Vx_STATUS.ON_TARGET bits are
both set to "1" in the Vx_STATUS application status byte.
ð The teach-in function has been successfully applied, and the control parameters are
calculated without errors.
ð The LED for the channel status of the corresponding channel is switched off, because
the output stage is switched off after the run.
ð The LED for the teach-in function of the corresponding channel remains lit and indi-
cates that the teach-in function is still active.
ð A mailbox diagnostic message is not sent.
