4.2.9 Substitute Value Strategy in the Event of Local Bus Failure

The substitute value is output if the local bus has an error and the substitute value strat-
egy has been parameterized accordingly. The substitute value strategy can be configured
in such a way that either a substitute value is output or the last valid value is held. The
substitute value strategy can be acknowledged by a positive SPL_EN edge. The output
stage cannot be switched off during the substitute value strategy.
The following functions are available:
• Hold actual value
• Approach substitute value
• Exit substitute value strategy after an error
The functions are described in more detail below.
