Changing the first number in the numbering plan
You may need to change the default numbering plan in order to improve
performance or to remove numbering plan conflicts. Refer to Tables 81
through 87 on

Compare the first digits assigned to this system with the default numbering
plan as shown in Table 73 on

If the first digit is in the unused range, change the first number in the
default numbering plan. To do this, follow the instructions in "Changing
the first number in the numbering plan" on

If the first digit is being used by Meridian Mail, trunk routes, or other
data, you must remove these interferences. Follow the instructions found
in "Removing numbering plan conflicts" on

Pick up the handset of the administration telephone.

Enter the administration Flexible Feature Code. (For some countries, this
value is listed in the Table 88 on

Enter the administration telephone password. (For some countries, this
value is listed in Table 72 on

You hear special dial tone and the prompt "TASK?" appears on the top
line of the character display.

Press the asterisk (*) three times.
The second line of the character display reads "4 INSTALLATION
OPTIONS".

Select "4 INSTALLATION OPTIONS" by entering the number "4".
