Installing the NTAK75 battery unit

Unpack the NTAK75 battery unit and place it according to the equipment
layout plan.
The battery unit must be a installed within 3 ft (915 mm) of the cabinet
it is serving.
Install to the side of or below the cabinet, not above.
If installed below, the minimum clearance from the top of the NTAK75
to the bottom of the wall-mounted cabinet is 2 ft (610 mm).
The battery unit should be installed in an open, well-ventilated area.
The area must meet the following temperature limits:
Maximum allowed range: 0 to 45°C (32 to 110°F)
Recommended range: 20 to 35°C (68 to 95°F).
Remove the cover of the battery unit.
The cover is secured by two captive screws on the front of the box.
Set the switch on the top of the NTAK75 battery box to OFF.
Unpack the batteries and check the expiry dates.
If the batteries do not have the same dates, contact your supplier.
DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
The battery cells can deliver high currents when
short-circuited. Make sure that you do not inadvertently
short-circuit the terminals of the batteries.
Place the individual batteries into the battery box (see Figure 64 on
page
176).
