6. Remove oil level inspection plug (A) and O-ring (B) from
cutterbar.
7. Oil level must be up to the bore. If required, add
lubricant as follows:
a. Replace inspection plug removed in Step
74.
b. Start windrower engine, and raise header slightly.
c. Lower header onto blocks so that left end is slightly
higher than right end.
NOTE:
Refer to the inside back cover of this manual for
lubricant specifications.
IMPORTANT:
Do NOT overfill the cutterbar. Overfilling can cause
overheating and damage to, or failure of, cutterbar
components.
d. Remove breather (A) at left end, and add sufficient
lubricant to required level.
e. Replace breather (A), torque breather to 30 Nm
(22 lbf·ft), and recheck oil level.
