TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Material wrapped around
spindle
Cutting too low in rocky
field conditions
Header float set too heavy
Ground speed too high in
rocky field conditions. At
high ground speed,
header tends to dig rocks
from ground instead of
floating over them
Discblades incorrectly
mounted
Header angle too steep
Crop residue and dirt
deposits on cutterbar
Mud on cutterbar
Header dragging on one
end and pulling to that
side
Belt not in proper groove
in pulley
Foreign object
between rolls
Belt pulleys and idlers
misaligned
Faulty drive belt
Hoses not connected
Poor electrical connection
at pump solenoid
Solution
Remove disc and remove
material.
Decrease header angle:
increase flotation.
Increase flotation.
Reduce ground speed.
Check all blade mounting
hardware and ensure
blades are free to move.
Reduce header angle.
Clean cutterbar.
Remove mud from
cutterbar. Do NOT allow
mud to dry on cutterbar.
Adjust header flotation on
both ends.
Move belt to proper
groove.
Disengage header and
stop the engine. When all
moving parts are
completely stopped,
remove foreign object.
Align pulleys and idler.
Check drive belt pulleys.
Connect hoses.
Check connection at
windrower.
