Map 1521: The Base Processor Subsystem Drawer Will Not Power On

Attempt to power on the base system drawer (see "Powering Off and Powering On the System" on page
545)
Does the base system drawer power on?
No
Go to "Step 1521-2."
This ends the procedure. Go to "MAP 0410: Repair Checkout" in the Eserver pSeries

Examine the power supply LEDs at the rear of the base system drawer.
Are the green AC Good LEDs of both power supplies of the base system drawer on solid?
No
Go to "Step 1521-8" on page 121.

Go to "Step 1521-3."

Is the amber fault LED of any power supply of the base system drawer on solid?
No
Go to "Step 1521-4."
Yes
Go to "Step 1521-21" on page 124.

Is the amber fault LED of any power supply of the base system drawer blinking?
No
Go to "Step 1521-5."
Yes
Go to "Step 1521-23" on page 125.

Is the green DC good LED of any power supply of the base system drawer off solid?
No

Are the green DC good LEDs of both power supplies of the base system drawer off solid?
No

Yes
Go to "Step 1521- 25" on page 125.

Replace the items in the following list one at a time. Turn the power off before removing the item, and turn
the power back on after replacing the item to determine if the drawer will power on.
1. Reinstall the power supply with the green DC good LED off solid.
2. Remove the power supply installed in step 1and then replace the other power supply.
3. Replace the service processor/PCI backplane.
Does the base system drawer power on?
No
Have all the items in the list above been replaced?
