Note: If the service processor menus are not available, the customer will have to provide the service
processor settings after the Service Processor/PCI Backplane is replaced.
5. Boot to the SMS Main Menu.
6. Select option 7, Select Boot Options.
7. On the Boot Mode Menu, select option 2, Select Boot Devices.
8. On the Configure Boot Device Order menu, selection option 6, Display Current Setting.
9. Record the boot list and continue with "Removal."
Removal
1. Turn off power as described in "Powering Off and Powering On the System" on page 545.
2. Record the cable connector locations of all external cables attached to the rear of the processor
subsystem.
3. Disconnect all of the cables from the rear of the processor subsystem.
4. Remove all of the PCI adapters from the processor subsystem; see "Non-Hot-Pluggable PCI Adapter
Removal and Replacement" on page 558.
Note: Because you must access the inside of the processor subsystem in the next step, be sure to
follow the procedures in "Processor Card" on page 614. When you are done, the processor
system should be in the service position.
5. Remove all of the processor cards from the processor subsystem; see "Processor Card" on page
614.
6. Remove all of the RIO connector cards from the processor subsystem; see "RIO Connector Card" on
page 618.
7. To more easily access the service processor/PCI backplane and cabling, perform the removal
procedures in "Disk Drive 4-Pack and Split (2+2) 4-Pack Cage" on page 631 to allow the disk drive
4-pack cage to be moved forward.
