6.2 Quick-disconnect wrist
The quick-disconnect wrist makes switching between the product and the System Electric Greifer
quick and easy.
If the product is equipped with a quick-disconnect wrist, the following options are available:
Bring the terminal device into the most favourable gripping position by rotating it (passive
pronation and supination).
Easily disconnect the terminal device from the prosthetic socket to replace it with a System
Electric Greifer.
To do so, turn the terminal device once around its own axis (360°), clockwise or anticlock
wise, until a slight resistance is felt. The terminal device can be removed after overcoming this
resistance. (see fig. 4)
Engaging the quick-disconnect wrist
1) Insert the quick-disconnect wrist of the prosthesis into the lamination ring and press it in
firmly.
2) Turn the prosthesis slightly to the left or right.
3) Pressure triggers the locking mechanism so the hand is firmly anchored in the lamination ring.
INFORMATION: After it engages, check that the prosthesis or System Electric Greifer
is firmly attached.
