Chapter 11
When you press the Save button, the Save Results screen appears. Each saved
test result record must have a unique cable label. There are several options for
entering the cable label for the saved test result:
·
You can use a typewriter-style keyboard
·
You can use a telephone-style keypad
·
You can pick an already-saved label from a list
Or, if a label list has been loaded, you can select a label from the list of
·
cable IDs.
Details for entering data using the keyboard, keypad, or using a list are given on
page 21.
Often, if you are testing cabling runs in a predictable sequence, it can save time
to configure the WireScope 350 to auto-increment cable labels. With auto-
increment, you dramatically reduce the amount of data entry that you must do.
To setup cable label auto-increment, please see Site Settings in Chapter 4. In the
example sequence below, auto-increment is set for the panel and position fields
of a hierarchical cable label format.
