Operation
From the Fiber Tools menu, press the Learn Fiber NVP button.
Attach a known length of fiber cable to WireScope 350 and specifiy the length
as described above. The WireScope 350 constantly monitors the Fiber
+
SmartProbe
waiting for a valid test configuration. Once this valid configuration
is detected, the aninmation of the fiber connection stops and the Measure button
is enabled. Press Measure or
to update the NVP value.
The resulting NVP value represents the speed at which light will propagate
along the sample cable, expressed as a percentage of the speed of light in a
vacuum.
Press Back to return to the Fiber Tools screen.
