The second step is selecting the test configuration (such as Link or Channel ),
since each test configuration requires a slightly different set of limits to account
for the number of connections included. Press
or OK to finish making the
limit setting and return to the Autotest Settings screen.

Network certification

The WireScope 350 can certify cabling for compliance with the physical
medium dependent (PMD) requirements of popular network interface
technologies such as Ethernet or ATM. Network certification can be in addition
to certification to cabling limits.
A pass result for a particular network technology (i.e. 100 Mbps Ethernet)
indicates that the tested cable run meets the signal to noise ratio (SNR)
requirements necessary to successfully support communications between
devices of that type.
To add network certification into the autotest, select it from the list of autotest
settings and press
or the Edit button to open the Networks Setup
configuration screens.
Check the boxes corresponding to the network types you wish to certify the
cabling for. The "other" Category encompasses a number of less popular legacy
applications. When you are finished, press
or OK to return to the Autotest
Settings screen.
