Specifying the connecting hardware

You can use this setting to store information in each test record about the type of
connecting hardware used to terminate the tested cable runs. You can either
select the connecting hardware part number from a pre-loaded list or you can
enter a description or part number.
The connector type specified assists the WireScope 350 in determining the test
configuration. Some connectors, such as MT-RJ, do not allow for fiber
swapping. Selecting this type of connector will disable the swap feature used in
Double Ended testing.
To enter connecting hardware information, start at the Fiber Autotest Settings
screen and select the connector icon and press
or Edit.
The first Connector Setup configuration screen prompts you to specify the
manufacturer of the connecting hardware that you will be testing. If you do not
know the manufacturer, select "Unspecified". Use the
key if you need to
scroll the list of manufacturers.
