Chapter 10
Length/Loss Method lets the WireScope 350 calculate the limit for you based
on the length of the cable tested. You will be able to set values for Connectors,
Loss per Connector, Splices, and Loss per Splice. The connector and splice
losses are added to the loss calculated by multiplying the length of the fiber by
the loss/Km specification of the selected cable. These specifications are shown
at the bottom of the Setup screen.
Press OK or
to complete the setup. You will be returned to the Fiber
Autotest Settings screen.

Length Limit

The Length Limit parameter allows you to set the maximum cable length
allowed. To change the length select Length Limit and press
Press the edit icon to pop up a numeric data entry keypad. Enter the length and
press OK or
to close the keypad.
Press OK or
to complete the setup and return you to the Fiber Autotest
Settings screen.
