NOTE:

It is important that this swap occur at the wall outlet or patch panel and NOT
at the Fiber SmartProbes to insure accurate results.
The WireScope 350 continues to monitor the connections waiting for a
successful swap of the fibers. When a valid swapped configuration is detected
the cable connections are drawn and the Finish Test button is enabled. Press
Finish Test or
to finish the Fiber Autotest. The test will run to completion
and the Fiber Autotest Result screen will be displayed.
DualRemote LED indicators during Double Ended
Autotest
The LEDs on the DualRemote 350 are used to aid you in monitoring,
performing, and evaluating the result of a Double Ended autotest. The
following groups of LEDs are used during fiber testing:
Progress Indicator
The three Progress Indicator LEDs are used to aid you in monitoring and
performing a Double Ended autotest. The following states are possible:
Test Starting: Waiting for initial double ended 2-fiber connection
Test Active: Initial double ended 2-fiber connection detected
Test Active: Middle LED blinks (sw ap chirrup sounds)
Waiting for users to sw ap the tw o fiber connections
Test Active: Middle LED solid ON
Sw ap complete, ready to continue test
Test Complete: Result show n on Pass / Fail Led
Pass / Fail
The pass / fail LED indicates the pass / fail status of the last completed test.

Green indicates pass
Red indicates fail

Diagnostics
A column of diagnostic LEDs provide further detail about the cause(s) of a test
failure. The failure causes that can be indicated for a fiber test are:
Length / Delay / Skew

Attenuation
·
Other
