Use this procedure to remove the cylinder.

Pneumatic cylinder
Magnetic proximity switch
Speed controller
Top push plate bend with rubber
DANGER
Turn off all electric power and pneumatic pressure supplies to the gripper!
Action
Drain the air from the cylinder.
