2.7 Decommissioning

2.7.1 Introduction

Introduction
This section contains information to consider when to take the gripper out of
operation. It deals with how to handle potentially dangerous components and
potentially hazardous materials.
General
All used grease, oils and dead batteries must be disposed of in accordance with
the current legislation of the country in which the gripper units are installed. If the
gripper units are partially or completely disposed of, the various parts must be
grouped together according to their nature (that is, all iron together and all plastic
together), and disposed of accordingly. These parts must also be disposed of in
accordance with the current legislation of the country in which the gripper units
are installed.
