Purpose
This feature allows the HANDS FREE button to be used for
external calls that are transferred or dialed to extension phones
from WAV phones.
NOTE: Calls that directly arrive at the NBX Business telephone
via an analog telephone line or Digital Line Card channel ring
on the telephone in the normal way. To answer the call, the
user must either pick up the handset or press the Speaker
button.
Handsfree on Transfer Enabled
When the HANDS FREE button on an NBX Business Telephone
is activated and the Handsfree on Transfer function is enabled
on the NBX system, a call that is transferred to the telephone
causes the telephone to issue a two-second hands-free
warning tone.
The telephone user does not need to take any action to
answer the call because, immediately after the warning tone,
the call is connected using the speaker phone.
Handsfree on Transfer Disabled
When the HANDS FREE button on an NBX Business Telephone
is activated and the Handsfree on Transfer function is disabled
on the NBX system, a call that is transferred to the to the
telephone will ring in the normal manner, whether or not the
HANDS FREE button is activated.
Only internal calls cause the telephone to issue a two-second
hands-free warning tone. The telephone user does not need to
take any action to answer the internal call because,
immediately after the warning tone, the call is connected using
the speaker phone.
