This chapter describes how to access the Command Line Interface (CLI) of the
OfficeConnect Gateway and explains basic concepts including the syntax and
structure of the command language.

To use the CLI to configure and/or manage the OfficeConnect Gateway, you need
to establish a Console Telnet connection with the unit via the LAN or WAN
interface (port) of the OfficeConnect Gateway.
Two methods can be used to initiate a Console Telnet session:
Use your web browser to initiate a Console Telnet session from the
OfficeConnect Gateway web page.
Use your Telnet client software of choice to initiate a Console Telnet session.
The default IP address of the OfficeConnect is 192.168.1.1. In some situations, a
Service Provider may change this default address. The Service Provider will then be
responsible for tracking this IP address, or using DNS to assign a name to the unit.
The default user name for the OfficeConnect Gateway is admin with no password.
The Service Provider can change this password and can also add additional users
who can access the OfficeConnect Gateway via a Console Telnet session.
