For most individuals using the OfficeConnect Gateway for shared Internet access, dynamic IP addressing is the type of addressing scheme most often utilized by Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

    6 - 12 6: WAN C HAPTER ONFIGURATION Configuring The following procedure describes how to configure (create) your WAN PPP-based WANs settings for the following PPP-based WAN configurations: A PPP-based WAN Configuration requires a PPP (Point-to-Point) Login Account (User Name and Password) with your Service Provider. This information will be provided by your Service Provider.

    To configure your WAN settings for a PPP Configuration, perform the Configuration following steps: Procedure 1 Select Create from the PVC Name Edit Mode drop-down menu. If no WAN interface has previously been configured, the field will already be set to Create. 2 Enter a name for your PVC (Permanent Virtual Circuit) in the PVC Name field.

    Overview The OfficeConnect Gateway’s web interface lets you easily and quickly set up the VoDSL (Voice over DSL) features of your OfficeConnect Gateway. To configure or modify the voice configuration settings, you must have Administrative level access to the OfficeConnect Gateway. The OfficeConnect Gateway, when configured to support VoDSL, is compatible with existing telephone equipment, including fax machines, analog telephones, modems, and PBX and key systems.

    7 - 2 7: V HAPTER OICE ONFIGURATION Accessing the Voice To access the Voice Configuration page, perform the following steps: Configuration Page 1 From your web browser, access the OfficeConnect Gateway page (Default IP address: 192.168.1.1). 2 Click Configure on the menu bar of OfficeConnect Gateway page. This menu option is located in the upper left portion of the page.

This list identifies the voice gateways supported by the OfficeConnect Gateway. The voice gateway is physically located in your Service Provider’s central office (CO).
