enable link_traps_interface

enable security_option snmp user_access

enable snmp authentication traps

The enable link_traps interface command informs SNMP to send linkup and
linkdown traps for the specified interface. We recommend you disable this feature
on all modem interfaces to eliminate a barrage of perfunctory awareness
messages forwarded from the NMC to the OfficeConnect Gateway alarm server
whenever modem states change or the OfficeConnect Gateway reboots.
The following parameter can be configured for this command
interface_name <eth:1>
Although the default is Disabled on modem interfaces, Hubs with Quad Modems
installed must have the OfficeConnect Gateway setting disabled manually to effect
the change. The command is enabled for Ethernet and WAN connections.
Also see the disable link_traps interface and show interface
<interface_name> settings commands.
The enable security_option snmp user_access command allows SNMP access
to the User Table. This lets remote users use SNMP to access the CLI and
reconfigure the OfficeConnect Gateway. Use the show security_options
command to see the current security values.
The enable snmp authentication traps command informs SNMP to send traps
for both local and remote authentication. The default is enabled
Also see the disable snmp authentication traps, and show snmp commands.
